Founded in 2013, The Bike Project provides a solution to a serious problem facing refugees and asylum seekers in the UK – the cost of transport and the impact that the lack of mobility has on their daily lives. They provide refugees and asylum seekers with bicycles, and in doing so mobility. Their mission is to match refugees and asylum seekers without the means to travel with refurbished bikes (and safety kits, cycling lessons and mentorship) in London and Birmingham. They also have a bike shop, where they sell bikes and accessories in order to support their mission. They also run cycling courses through their Pedal Power program to teach refugee women how to cycle, they give refugees Bike Buddies to help them navigate their way around London and Birmingham, and they also give them the opportunity to learn bike mechanics through Mechanic Mates.

Surprise your loved ones with our big-hearted range of gifts for refugees. The gift you buy in a loved one’s name goes towards the item being given to a refugee, whether it is a cycling safety gear or a bike for a young or adult refugee.
